Building Services - Blacktown Development
Neilly Davies were engaged to provide detailed structural and stormwater design and documentation including hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and fire services design and documentation for the proposed development located in Blacktown. The detailed design was required to comply with Australian Standards and meet the DA conditions of Blacktown City Council.
The proposed development located consists of two new apartment buildings, containing 48 and 38 apartments respectively. Both buildings consist of 2 basement levels and 6 upper levels.
Neilly Davies was also requested to conduct site inspections and prepare dilapidation reports for various buildings around the proposed construction site, including the railway corridor adjoining the development. At various stages of construction inspection and certification was required confirming that construction complies with the design documentation as per the appropriate Australian Standards and DA conditions.
Overall, the client was happy with the completed project. Effective communication between Neilly Davies, Blacktown City Council, subcontractors and other relevant parties ensured that all DA conditions were met, and the project completed to a high standard. Construction of the apartment is currently being undertaken, and communication between the client and Neilly Davies continues to ensure construction is as per the provided drawings.
